“This game was a mess. We nearly got an awesome story in this game, but we missed out on the happy ending. Logan Cooley gets hurt by crashing into the post, only for him to comeback less than 10 minutes later, ready to go. The crowd was very into it and I think everyone was anticipating a goal from Cooley. Sadly, we didn’t get that great moment for him, but we did get a lot of shenanigans. I personally think there were more than a few missed calls in this game. It’s easy to say they screwed the Mammoth and they certainly made it tough for Utah. However, I’d argue the Mammoth would’ve lost anyway considering how they played in most of the 2nd and all of the 3rd. They completely outplayed Pittsburgh in the 1st period and maintained that edge for the first half of the 2nd, just to look flat the rest of the game. Penguins made them pay for it. Even then, they still had their fair share of chances and Skinner shut the door. It’s just a shame that I’m going to remember the ref stuff more.”
