There is an alternate universe where this was the Cup Final matchup we got the last 2 years. If this is how that series would’ve played out, I’m only slightly less sad we never got it. Besides Bobrovsky and Brad Marchand, Florida merely just cruised to victory. Reinhart was even throwing no-look passes. The Stars also looked weirdly out of sorts. Although I must admit I have direct experience watching a Glen Gulutzan-led team, albeit one with much less talent than this Stars team has. Sensible tactics being ruined by sluggish play is a familiar experience. Although I will admit there’s only so much you can do about that Lundell goal. Skill, grittiness and a pinch of luck all in one play. Bob continues to climb the all time goaltending lists. He is now tied with Rask in shutouts with 52 and a few wins away from Terry Sawchuk for 8th all time. Likely won’t be long until he joins the exclusive 450 win club that only has 7 members and hasn’t welcomed someone new since King Henrik joined.
