Blue Jackets get a great win. I could talk about how terribly Chicago played. I could talk about how Spencer Knight has fallen off a cliff in recent games. I could talk about Werenski’s continued brilliance that may earn him a Norris trophy. But let’s face it, there’s only one man who not only dictated this game more than anyone, but deserves all the flowers he’s about to get for his performance: Charlie Coyle. I could stop this rating there. Holy cow, what a game for him. He was all over the ice, contributing in every facet and getting a hat trick for his efforts. He became the first Blue Jackets player to put up 3 goals and 4 points since Marchment did it less than a week ago. Meaning this is the first time two Blue Jackets have done it and the first to do it within a week of each since 2018. Besides scoring goals, Coyle was also adding some great defense on top of that. Blocking a couple shots and disrupting Chicago. He was contributing to everything they did well on all levels.
