Minnesota keeps getting dubs in the sport of hockey. This time they get a dub in an action packed battle with their highly touted division opponent. Even though the Avs had way more shots than the Wild, I thought Minnesota was the better team. It felt like they had more puck possession and I thought they kept getting the better chances. They deserved the win. The only unfair part about this game was Wallstedt getting thrown into the net in the final minute and having his stats crater thanks to a goal from Necas created by a sweet MacKinnon pass. He was only put in that position because Gustavsson puked in his crease. Still, I don’t think the Wild care, they got the win and looked dominant doing it. The usual suspects Boldy, Kaprizov and Hughes were brilliant. Gustavsson had a terrific game between the pipes before he literally yakked in his own crease. I personally also want to shoutout Marcus Foligno, felt like he was just causing constant issues for the Avs despite playing so little.
