Hockey is good today. St. Louis hangs on for dear life in a penalty kill to beat the Islanders. Blues wired one home almost immediately, coincidentally when the broadcast I was watching basically said “Islanders need to score first to get the crowd going”. Pius Suter would add to the lead right before the end of the 2nd but it was Jordan Binnington giving the Islanders nightmares. It took a scrappy goal from Anders Lee to finally beat Binnington and right as it looked like a tie, goaltender interference. Sucks, but it was the right call imo. Didn’t mean the drama was over. Islanders got a power play and those last 2 minutes were intense af, peaking at an incredible glove save by Binnington when he basically never saw the puck. Suter made a big defensive play in the dying seconds and the Blues got to seal up the win. Had an electric start, pretty good throughout and had a great dramatic ending.

Honestly, it didn't look like interference to me. It looked like binnington made no attempt to move where the puck was going.
