“Someday, the Phillies will learn that they're allowed to score runs in more than one inning. Today was not that day, but it was enough to hold onto a win. Taijuan Walker had me thinking we should ship him out to Taiwan after a rocky 1st inning, but he managed to recover and gave a very solid start. Can't complain about a starter giving up only 2 runs when your offense has the firepower the Phillies have. Speaking of which, Kyle Schwarber answered with a 3-run bomb in the 3rd, followed immediately by a Bryce Harper solo shot. Hot take, but Dave Dombrowski might have been wrong about Harper. Justin Crawford continues to shine, going 2-2 with a single, walk, and a double. His .350 batting average is now 8th in MLB (as of writing this). I am monitoring the Trea Turner situation with some concern.”
