“Lauer starts four days after he was moved to the bullpen. I think half his problems this year are because the team isn’t interested in letting him know what his role is supposed to be. He’ll probably be DH’ing by June and in the Ace costume at the season’s end. Vladdy, Sánchez, and Big Kaz hit, but Ernie hits harder for his season-first home run. Springer returns with a first-pitch hit and RBI. Lauer gets yanked after 68 pitches so a lot of the bullpen has to finish the second half of the game. Interesting choice on game six of thirteen straight, the last seven of which are road games. Fun game. Finally feels like the Jays are the Jays again. Guess we’ll see if Minnesota and the surprisingly-strong Tampa squads manage to squash our spirits.”
