Couldn’t catch the entire game because I was travelling. Luckily, I was able to watch the 2nd half and overtime. What a battle. You could call it a bloodbath or a war of attrition, but no matter what you call it, nothing was easy for either team and neither squad gave more than an inch. It’s easy to say neither team could get into their flow, but that’s a credit to the defenses on both ends. JT Toppin to his rare 20 and 10 season by putting up 31 and 13 with wonderful shooting splits. Looked like a man among boys at some points. For Arizona it was much more of a team effort. 5 guys put up double digits including a valiant effort from Awaka off the bench. There‘s isn’t much else you could ask for in a game like this. Maybe if Bradley’s 3 goes in and we get double OT this is an easy 10. Just wasn’t meant to be and now Arizona has to find a way to pick up their pieces and get their wonderful season back on track. For the Red Raiders, this is a statement win, especially for Toppin.
