The Battle of Florida. No love lost in this matchup as the animosity from the pre season has carried over into the regular season. Lots of scraps, penalties and face washings. Despite all the star power, the game would be decided by Jack Finley, a player the Lightning drafted 5 years ago, scoring his first NHL goal, coincidentally after missing an earlier chance to do it. Honestly heartwarming all things considered. Speaking of heartwarming, as a Flames fan, seeing Pelletier get the call up and play decent warms my heart. Even though it’s the Lightning, I hope he gets more chances. Back to this game, it was pretty even, until the 3rd where the Lightning couldn’t get anything going and then went into a shell after Finley’s goal. A dub is a dub and the Lightning will gladly take it in this battle.
