Steven Stamkos, what are you doing?! This is an NHL tank bowl, you’re not supposed to do that! I know you’re not used to this but please stop! That’s my impression of Team Tank in Smashville. In all seriousness, it was very cool to see Stamkos ripping home goals like he’s back in his prime. That also meant the Predators cold-cocked the Blues repeatedly and won with ease. It wasn’t all gloom and doom for the Blues. In-between Stamkos’s 4 goals, Hugh McGing scored his first NHL goal. Binnington also continues to make the case for Logan Thompson as Canada’s #1 goalie. Tbf, not like Hofer was much better, plus he benefitted from the Predators coasting to let this game end. In short, this game was great for the vibes, but bad for those who only care about great hockey. Was it a Feel-good game? Absolutely, which boosts the rating from the red territory. Dramatic game? Hell no, which stops it from getting past the middle.
