The Buffalo Sabres are a good hockey team again. The smell of 2006 is in the air with those gorgeous black and red jerseys, which means the Sabres will lose a heartbreaker in the conference finals, although I think Buffalo would kill for that. That also means the Sabres are super fun to watch as are the Habs which makes for excellent hockey. Josh Doan had a PERFECTLY placed shot, literally cannot place it better in the top corner. Sabres were helpless against a 5-on-3 powerplay and Demidov blasted home the tying goal off some sweet passing to make it 2-2 in the 1st period! The goal scoring wouldn’t remain that frequent, but the speed remained fast af and skill was very evident. We even got some serious beef between these teams with Gallagher and Greenway having a tussle at one point. Despite all that great hockey on display, one man stood above them all. Tage Thompson was a monster; contributing to every goal which included him scoring a hat trick, 1 of them being the game winner.
