The Jaguars came in to suppress Bolief and they did it. Despite the lopsided final score, I really enjoyed this one both aesthetically and narrative-wise. The narrative coming in was simple. These are 2 teams many doubted coming in, even with their objectively great seasons so far. This might as well be a proving ground for both squads. The Jaguars walked away with a massive statement win. Despite the Broncos’ elite defense, Trevor Lawrence sliced through them like they were Swiss cheese. His weapon of choice was Parker Washington who had just the 28th 145 receiving yard performance in Jaguars history while accounting for more than half of Lawrence’s passing yards. He was quiet in the 4th but had done his job at that point. The 4th quarter became hot potato with possession, peaking when Bo Nix threw an interception to Jarrian Jones. Really wish the Broncos could’ve made that final drive tense rather than a formality, but it’s a credit to Jacksonville they had no chance at that point.
