The Ducks swam their way to victory, but had to use their wings to secure the win in the 3rd period as Vegas was desperate to get their favourite part of hockey, besides having no morals, the loser point. The Ducks prevented that from happening primarily thanks to 2 individuals. First, Chris Kreider. He has worked out in Anaheim better than I thought it would and he may have had his best game tonight. Rather than use the big body that made him lethal with the Rangers, it was instead his experience helping him tonight as the Ducks skated circles around the Golden Knights. The longer Anaheim had the puck, the more helpless Vegas looked. What happened when Vegas had the puck? Well, the Ducks trusted Dostal. Dostal has had a down year compared to his breakout last season, but he reminded everyone why he got that extension. As Vegas gained more and more control of the game, Dostal clamped down and made sure there would be no loser point tonight. It got hella close in the final seconds.
