“Phenomenal game in the return of Sidney Crosby! He watched Malkin make his return in style against the Avs and decided he wanted to do that himself. Which is exactly what he did when he put himself in the perfect position to turn a fortunate bounce into Pittsburgh’s first goals. Still, Carolina wouldn’t let it be easy, Rod the Bod would never let that happen. Prior to Crosby announcing his return, Martinook was fantastic on the penalty kill, much-needed for a unit that is bottom 5 since February 1st and he was rewarded by the hockey gods with a shorthanded goal. Jackson Blake gave Carolina the lead going into intermission. The 3rd period was ABSOLUTE INSANITY. Sexy goals, overcoming the odds on both sides, crazy diving saves, desperation saves and a bunch of actions to give us 7 combined goals. It had pretty much everything. To make it even better, we got overtime. In OT, both teams had their fair share of chances, but in the dying seconds, Aho set up Walker for the winner. So much fun”
