Columbus’s march to the playoffs continues with the help of their new March-duo, Marchment and Marchenko. I did not realize this before he was traded, but apparently Kraken fans HATED Mason Marchment. Now, I won’t act like I’ve been locked-in on every Kraken game, but it’s clear that he was struggling in Seattle. So he got the classic change of scenery move and he has looked great in Columbus through 2 games while also scoring a goal in each of his first 2 games. Marchment set the tone with 2 goals in the 1st period. Then Marchenko gave Urlrot another reason to love him by snapping an insurance goal past Anton Forsberg to secure the dub. Columbus is so much fun to watch while LA was not tonight. Which is really weird Byfield, Clarke, Kuzmenko and even Kopitar should all make this team super fun, but after the 1st period, they couldn’t maintain any momentum. Jet Greaves, along with having an awesome hockey name, also bounced back after a rough stretch of starts.
