Fun fact: this was Adin Hill’s 200th game. I think it’s safe to say he would like a do-over. The Penguins were the better team, don’t get it twisted, but not that much better. They basically coasted in the 3rd. But before that, the ice just tilted in their favour, they weren’t breaking the scale. Erik Karlsson was brilliant and Kindel was great and yet I find myself blaming Hill just as much as I’m crediting the Penguins. Not like it would matter since Silovs was solid enough to keep Vegas completely off the scoreboard, even during the coasting. Your mileage in this game will really depend on how much you like the Penguins and how much you hate the Golden Knights. If you love the Pens and despise the Golden Knights with every part of your being, then you will love this game. However, for me, someone who wants Vegas to lose since my team holds their 1st round pick and someone who generally likes many of the Pens’ best players, I like the result, but didn’t enjoy the game that much.
