“One year anniversary of the greatest Maryland basketball moment of my life. Derik Queen hit a tremendous shot off the glass and man was it special. The Crab Five was a assembly of tremendous players and they could win any game as long as they were hot. This game they played well but Colorado State had our number. They were matching our shots and with 6.1 seconds left Quentin Lake hits a 3 to take the lead. I couldn't believe it. This was a Maryland team that had already lost on game winners and or buzzer beaters all season. 4 times. Lost in OT to Northwestern. Ohio State bank 3. MSU full court shot. Michigan layup in the B10 semis. Those last two killed me. 4 times being beat like that is gut wrenching. It was soon to be 5. I never felt more emotions then when Lake made that. How could this happen to me. Doesnt feel real. As the story goes DQ in the timeout huddle says "Give me the mfing ball" They gave him the ball and the rest is history. Go Terps!”
