After watching AD have an easy time against us, I was fully expecting a 40 bomb from Wemby, but to my surprise, it didn’t happen. Don’t get it twisted, Spurs still cruised to a win, with the help of an uber efficient night all around (almost 50% on 3s!). Wemby was fantastic, watching him cross up Colin Murray-Boyles is insane to watch when he looks like a giant even compared to NBA players. But the Raptors weirdly kept pace. It never got close, but the Raptors kept pace, CMB even got a steal on Wemby. There’s genuine positives to take away despite getting outplayed. However, this game reasserts that the Spurs are legit this year. They look insanely deep and should be used as the primary example how you can’t only tank and expect everything to work out.
