@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Canadiens vs Islanders

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Canadiens vs Islanders game 5.7 out of 10 in NHL on April 12, 2026. Final score: Canadiens 4 – Islanders 1. Reg. Season. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

The Habs end Islanders dreams while making their own history in a game that was pretty much never in doubt. The Habs of course always make a game worth watching, but the Islanders looked like they knew their management group was thinking about next season instead of the current one. The Habs were the better team in the first 2 periods. The shots were about even but the Habs consistently got the best chances, once again proving the Islanders haven’t adjusted to DeBoer’s system. Sorokin was the biggest reason why Montreal didn’t take the lead sooner. The Habs made sure to kill Sorokin’s Vezina chances along with the Islanders’ season in fabulous fashion. It was all too easy as Nick Suzuki became the first Hab to rack up 100 points in a season in 40 years. The Islanders finally got some desperation in the 3rd, still couldn’t generate great chances and Fowler stopped everything they threw at him. Huston also passed Larry Robinson for most assists in a season for a Hab defenseman.
