10/10 because it was an unbelievably great birthday present from my lovely lady and forever a core memory for the two of us. They even handed out commemorative tickets that are definitely going in a scrapbook some day. Love her!
I went into this game as a tentative neutral who was definitely leaning Islander, but there's no way to leave that game and be a Rangers fan. An absolute bloodbath that was hilarious to watch. Near the end of the third period, the full house was already half empty.
Did I follow all of the action in my first ever IRL hockey game? No, definitely not. Did I become a Hockey Sicko like I did after seeing the Mets in May? No, that'd be ridiculous.
Was it a blast that I'll remember for the rest of my life? Absolutely.
