“This was a very bad way to start the season. It took 5 minutes for Brentford to fall behind, and they never came close again after that. This game did stay 1-0 for almost the rest of the first half, but the Bees had a mini meltdown over the course of five minutes that led to Nottingham Forest finding the back of the net twice. Brentford was able to do almost nothing after that through the whole second half. Igor Thiago did convert a penalty at the very end of this match, but that didn’t do anything for the actual outcome as the Bees open the season with a dud. ”
