The F U Lane Kiffin tour is over and I am sad. At least it went out in style. This was defensive bloodshed with the occasional splash play to give some order to this battle. Ole Miss had the first one with Lacy’s 73-yard TD run at the very start of the 2nd quarter. Carson Beck responded with a 52-yard lob to Marion for Miami for the response. Even with splash plays like those, the most important battles came at the line of scrimmage. Miami started out dominating with biggest boys absolutely bullying Ole Miss. it gave them the lead early and made it difficult for the Rebels to keep up. After 3 quarters of that theme, this game went from 0-100 in the 4th quarter, more specifically, the final 5 minutes. 4 lead changes that included more magic from Chambliss, clutch conversions and Miami’s O-line getting the job done to make it easy for Beck to stroll into the end zone for the game-winning TD. Chambliss didn’t make it easy, he still nearly went 75 yards in 18 seconds, but it wasn’t enough.
