“I was super excited for this matchup and it did not disappoint. This was a very tightly contested game, don’t let the final score fool you. Despite the difference in shot totals, felt even throughout, even the goals show this. Leafs scored almost immediately in the 1st before Oliver Kapanen got his first NHL in a shorthanded breakaway. Fast forward for the 2nd period and the Habs score first with Bolduc’s first Habs goal. Then Jarnkrok matched it shortly after. Morgan Reilly ended up being the difference as he would get the winner and Knies showed why he is Treliving’s dream forward. Also worth noting the 3rd period zoomed by while the Habs tried to tie it up, but to no avail as Stolarz shut the door.”
