Ohtani vs Trout for all the marbles. You couldn’t write a better script if you tried. The game winning pitch from Ohtani, an 87 mph off speed slider on a full count with 2 outs. Ridiculous. The game itself was a key reason why most MLB players opted in to this year’s tournament and elevated the overall prestige of the WBC. “These two players will comeback to play in the same team, but one with a trophy.” Iconic call. Instant classic.
