Great defense, and windy conditions made it hard to throw the ball or kick field goals in this game.
That being said, I ENJOYED THE HELL OUT OF THIS GAME.
To me, a high stakes, low scoring game with elite defenses BECOMES VERY EXCITING at the end, because where scoring is lacked in the beginning, teams are forced to take risks/ make plays at the end.
Maybe that's just the defensive coach in me, but I loved this game.
Loved Mark Fletcher making big runs at the end, and seeing his mom celebrate in the stands.
Fun human stories make college sports beautiful!
Mario out coached Elko.
Battle of wills.
A&M had 40 pass attempts to Miami's 20.
Elko flinched AKA gave up on the run, and Critobol didn't.
Running the football (especially considering the windy conditions) IS A MENTALITY.
Tough day to be an Aggie, but they had a great year!
