Devin Cooley tried his best to stop us from tanking, even stopped Sennecke’s between the legs shot, but he couldn’t score the goals for us and we lost because of it. Plenty of shots, but it was not as fast-paced as you’d think based on that alone. While this game lacked in speed, it did not lack in action, far from it. Both goalies had to be locked in or else this game could’ve blown up on them, Cooley especially. Hell, the only way Anaheim could beat him for 2 and a half periods was a fluke bounce off the boards and behind his back. Dostal was terrific as well, the Flames either had to make a perfect pass to set up Farabee or have Sharky release a perfect shot. For the Ducks, it was just Cutter Gauthier. He was the only one with the secret sauce to beat Cooley. After a pretty good overtime, we got the ultra-rare great shootout. Each Ducks shooter put on a show with McTavish sneaking the puck under Cooley for the lead and Gridin hitting the post to end it. Just a great game overall.
