“Objectively a good game, but one that leaves me with a bit of disappointment. Let me explain. Going into this game, here was my thought process: we have two young, skilled and fast teams, this game WILL BE AMAZING FOR SURE. Well… it wasn’t bad, but it could’ve been a lot better. Classic high floor game that didn’t reach its full potential. Anyway, the game itself. It started very dubiously with a Habs goal that was called back wrongly in my opinion. Luckily, Goal Caufield made sure there was no ambiguity with Montreal’s next goal as he sniped it home. Then Celebrini gave us the 100th reminder of how good he is this season as he got one by Dobes. Both goalies were on their A-game, but there are times when talent transcends all. The Sharks outplayed the Habs in the 2nd and took the lead going into the 3rd. That 3rd was supremely bland, especially for this matchup. The Sharks went into a shell and were able to shutdown Montreal completely. Made for an uninteresting final period.”
