“First installment to the rivalry this year was a great one, complete with fireworks. It was awesome to see the bullpen hold the lead pitch with an edge a la Erik Miller (that guy grows on me with every appearance). Landen Roupp continues to be a real-deal starter. Don’t be surprised if we see a Webb-like rise from him down the stretch and hopefully in October. These guys *battle*, man. It’s what you expect from a Vitello team. I’ve believed in every one of these post-2021 teams and I think this unconventional skipper hire could have been the right move to get them over that hump. Division be damned, these Giants could be a problem come September. They just have to get themselves there.”
