“This Texas team has guts. Tramon Mark scoring 30 points on a messed ankle he sustained in the second half. Jordan Pope said he played this game and the game before it on a broken foot! Everyone for Texas should be proud of their efforts in this tournament making the Sweet Sixteen from the First Four. It was almost enough to take down Purdue. If it wasn’t for TKR. What a great tip by TKR, and he did a really good job pinning Swaiyn under the basket on his box out so he could have optimal positioning to get to the basketball. Great presence of mind my Braden Smith to take it to the rim on that final play as well. Too many guards just hold the ball until 2 or 3 seconds and take a bad stepback jumper. Small note here. If Volketaitis could make a pass out of a double team I think Texas wins this game by like 10 points. Great strategy by Matt Painter understanding the big fella couldn’t handle that pressure. Happy for Purdue and this senior squad. Texas should be proud. ”
