“Much closer than I think everyone predicted. However, maybe we shouldn’t be surprised, the Bengals basically had to win this game to have any hope, even with Burrow potentially returning and you can sense that desperation. I mean that in a positive way, I swear. Despite that, this game is still not a great sign for the Patriots and Drake Maye. A bit of a struggle against the worst defense in the NFL is not what you want to see, still, this Patriots team did more than enough to get the win. A shame, I was hoping for more vintage Flacco heroics. Just wasn’t meant to be. At first it looked like the Patriots were headed for a disaster after Geno Stone’s pick six, only for the Patriots to get one of their own thanks to Marcus Jones. Overall, a back and forth game, but the injuries and Chase suspension eventually caught up to the Bengals.”
