“EVGENI MALKIN IS BACK AND MADE HIS RETURN IN STYLE. Meanwhile, Brent Burns passed the Bobby Orr in goals during a game that he and the Avs definitely want to forget. It all started with a crazy 1st period. Malkin made his presence known when he scored just a few minutes into this game. MacKinnon returned the favour with a snipe of his own. Karlsson decided to show off himself and placed a picture perfect 2-line pass to Mantha who took it and scored another goal 15 seconds after. Malkin then scored thanks to a great feed from Chinakhov to make it 3-1 and another Pens goal made it 4-1. Burns scored his goal to salvage some chance to win this game. The Avs would waste that chance, never score again and the Pens won easily. The Pens got less shots, but they very clearly outplayed Colorado. Chasing Wedgewood while getting the best chances all game long. Even though this was a blowout, it certainly wasn’t a boring one. We even got a fight, not a great fight, but it’s still a fight..”
