I fell asleep while watching this game thanks to my complete lack of sleep in the last 36 hours. Don’t take the fact that I passed out before I could rate this as a sign this was boring. In fact, that 1st period was awesome! The rare back and forth goal fest that the Flames were actually a part of rather than just being the victim. After that, the 2 young goalies did their best to try and set things straight. They succeeded in the 2nd period, but Macklin Celebrini set the tone in the 3rd period with the nasty spin move and goal to give the Sharks a 2 goal lead and himself 50 points. The Sharks never looked back after. Kadri got a goal back in an attempt to make a comeback look possible, but it wasn’t enough to create much real tension. Celebrini was obviously incredible in this game, cooking the Flames in the 3rd. The 2 former Lightning Cup Champions, Goodrow and Coleman, also played quite well for their respective teams. Toffoli continues to be good for San Jose as well.
