“The Edmonton Oilers have won their last 2 games by a combined score of 11-0. Great for Oilers fans, bad for haters of nepo-baby Stan Bowman (Me). Also bad for anyone who wanted to enjoy some good back and forth hockey. At least in the Vancouver game I could delude myself to thinking they had a chance after the 1st period, this game didn’t even let me do that. Blues defense looked all out of sorts on the first Oilers goal and Binnington gave up a juicy rebound Mangiapane to pot home after Fowler completely whiffed on it. Hyman made sure there was no doubt who was gonna win before the end of the 1st with a last minute tip to make it 3-0. At that point, I’d be shocked if anyone, even a Blues fan, thought St. Louis had a chance. Hyman and Podkolzin picked up some extra goals in the 2nd and 3rd respectively as McDavid grabs 2 more assists to add to league leading point total. I’d call them insurance goals, but the Oilers were probably secure enough to think life insurance was not needed. ”
