“Started out electric but became a grind after that. This game is a true testament to the Mariners pitching depth. Just two days after their marathon victory against the Tigers, they still found pitchers capable of shutting down a Jays lineup that was on fire. Bryce Miller was rock solid after giving up a quick Springer homer while the Mariners relievers were basically perfect as Seattle takes game 1. Speaking of things carried over from the Tigers series, Jorge fucking Polanco continues his clutch hitting as he drives in 2 runs including the winning run. If the Mariners keep this up as their bullpen gets rested, they can make their first ever World Series.”
