The word “cinema” gets thrown around in sports discourse a lot but god damn it’s almost like this baseball game was literally written in Hollywood. It’s not a perfect 10/10 because there were certainly some dry innings and it’s questionable what this outcome means for the broader state of baseball, plus a home team win would have made it just a bit more electric in my opinion, but it’s as close as you can get. If this were a random game in July it would have been a phenomenal game, but World Series game 7? Best baseball game since 2016 game 7.

I just ran a poll on X with these two Series head to head cus I was thinking the same thing. 2016 has the slightest edge because of the 108 year drought IMO. Also it went to a rain delay which I totally forgot about lol.
