“This game was pretty good. The Penguins found life. It wasn’t easy, but they found a way in a tight game. Tight in the sense it was close and that both teams played tight. Philly kept up their stingy play while Pittsburgh played more careful hockey to avoid leaving Silovs for dead, who came in for Skinner. Fair or not, I get why the switch was made. More importantly, one man knew the time was now to make the difference. Sidney Crosby wasn’t going to go down that easily. After being mostly held in-check by the Flyers, he had easily his best game of this series so far. Even though he scored in this game, I was much more impressed with his assist on the Letang goal. It’s also quintessential Crosby. Winning the puck battles before using his skill to make a play. While Crosby was definitely the MVP of this game, it would be unfair to give him sole credit. The Penguins just did a better job accounting for Philly’s strengths and took advantage of their mistakes. Mainly from Vladar. ”
