“Rocker got rocked. The first Dylan Beavers at-bat truly set the tone. Rocker struck out Gunnar, then gave up a couple hits to Pete Alonso and Jackson Holliday. Beavers came up to bat and presented a fork in the road. If Rocker could escape the jam, there was a chance he could turn that into a solid outing. After all, he has been pretty good recently. Instead Beavers hit a single which allowed Pete to score and open the floodgates. The Orioles scored 3 more runs in the 2nd thanks, in-part, to an Alonso bomb and made it 5-0 after 2. Just when it felt completely hopeless, Brandon Nimmo hit a 3-run homer and made it a close game again after 3 innings. I thought the Rangers could tie it up in the next couple of innings which made it hurt even more when Pete Alonso hit ANOTHER home run and crushed my dreams. The Rangers didn’t score another run until the bottom of the 9th and by that point Baltimore had a 7-run lead. Despite some effort from the Rangers, the Orioles still cruised to victory”
