Well, that was nearly very tragic. Started out great for my Flames with a Coronato goal. Even after that, they had control and Cooley was balling, then Rantanen had to go and be a total bitch by laying a dirty hit on Coronato with his back turned. Shoutout to Huby for fighting him right after. Even though the Flames scored on that power play, they took their foot off the gas in the 3rd, fumbled the advantage they previously held and eventually coughed up the 2 goal lead. Thankfully, Cooley stood tall in OT and the Flames won in the shootout. Overall, a really good game. I won’t lie though, the officials pissed me off at some points, almost as much as Rantanen did. But it didn’t ruin the game for me, thankfully. I very much enjoyed the Coronato narrative. He scores, gets wrecked, comes back, plays great and helped us win. But Devin Cooley was massive for us. I’m glad the Flames have taken my advice and are playing him more.
