“Great game in this one. Tough return to the Tigers for Justin Verlander, got absolutely destroyed by Corbin Carroll with an RBI triple and a 3 run homer in the 1st and 2nd inning respectively. Of course, Verlander’s on the back end of his career, this likely being the final year- but I still wish for his success. That being said, Corbin Carroll is an absolute stud. Michael Soroka with an immaculate inning, something no one could’ve expected going into this game. He was such a promising prospect coming up in the Braves system and just never worked out. He pitched great yesterday, is there a career comeback in the works this year? Diamondbacks almost blew it in the 7th, but they locked in with the bases loaded and 2 outs and Morillo forced a groundout. Kevin McGonigle was finally contained today, going 0 for 2 but still got on base and found home plate.”
