“Needed to see another Willson Contreras home run, all the shit that's been going on, ejections, of course his own personal problems, but he's still out there on the field raking. Romy Gonzalez, recently returned. I personally didn't like the move to send Mickey Gasper down to Triple-A to bring Romy my Homie back up, thought Gasper had been playing well. But Romy hit a homer in this one, and if he can add some much-needed power to this lineup, the move will be good. Sonny Gray with another great performance. 6 innings, only 1 run. One thing I've noticed about Gray lately is his strikeout numbers have increased noticeably. Earlier in the season, it seemed like even when he was going 6 innings he was only striking out 2 or 3 guys, now he's had games of about 7-9 strikeouts. And he has also overall performed much better lately as his strikeout numbers continue to increase, of course that near no-hitter against the Yankees being the best example, 9 strikeouts in that game. Good win Sox.”
