@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Islanders vs Wild

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Islanders vs Wild game 8.4 out of 10 in NHL on January 11, 2026. Final score: Islanders 4 – Wild 3. Reg. Season. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

The dictionary definition of a back and forth game. By definition, that made this game an even one. Just look at the goals. It started with Ben Jones scoring the first goal of his young career off a well placed pass-shot from Boldy, then the Wild were kind enough to give the Islanders a mulligan for giving up that goal when they scored on themselves and then Boldy potted one in near the end of the 1st. Holmstrom almost immediately tied it up in the 2nd period, Hunt laid out an crisp pass for Kaprizov to restore Minnesota’s lead and just when it looked like the Wild would not wait their turn, Holmstrom caught the Wild sleeping on their power play and set up Czikas for the short-handed goal to tie it up. They exchanged period scores. Neither team scored in the 3rd because that would ruin my thread and Holmstrom played the role of hero one final time by dusting Boldy and scoring the OT winner. Even without this consistent tale, this game was just good ass hockey. Nothing to complain about
