I’m confident in saying this is a first for RateGame. I’m currently in a moving train while I type this rating. Thanks to the train’s wifi, I was able to watch this game in full. Now, believe it or not, I have never watched a hockey game and said “I wish there were more video reviews”. The end of the 1st period showed off exactly why; it was messy and brought all the tension to a screeching halt. But while that moment stuck out, there were other generally cool moments. The Petterson of the Elias variety struck first. The Capitals tried to mount the 4-0 comeback and it gave us some sick Demko saves as the Canucks hung on. Bad luck and bounces ultimately decided this game, but the Canucks earned the dub, especially after Tom Wilson pulled some of his classic antics and in spite of Cychrun’s best efforts. No Goal 899 though, which sucks, I was hoping for that. Still, a good game, I enjoyed watching it in a train.
