In the bottom of the first, Jesus Sanchez reached on an RBI infield single. Jonah Bride singled in a run. In the 2nd, Sanchez hit an RBI single. Jake Burger hit his first of two RBI groundouts. In the top of the 3rd, Hunter Feduccia singled. This set up a Shohei Ohtani 2-run homer. Ohtani currently sits at 48 home runs and 48 stolen bases with 11 games remaining on the Dodgers schedule. Max Muncy hit a 2-run double to tie the game at 4. In the bottom half of the 3rd, Otto Lopez hit a solo homer. In the 4th, Miguel Rojas hit a solo homer of his own. In the following half inning, Sanchez hit an RBI double. Kyle Stowers tripled him in to extend the lead to 7-5. In the top of the 5th, Freddie Freeman hit a sacrifice fly. In the bottom of the 6th, Sanchez hit a double to move Connor Norby to third. Burger hit his second RBI groundout, scoring Norby. Stowers hit an RBI double, scoring Sanchez. Muncy hit an RBI single in the top of the 7th to shorten the Marlins’ lead to 9-7. In the bottom of the 8th, Burger hit a 2-run homerun. In the top of the 9th, the Dodgers were down 11-7. Max Muncy hit a 2-run double. But that’s all they could scratch off in the 9th. The Marlins win 11-9.
