“Day 2 began with an intriguing matchup. It lived up to that label and then some. Tho game was very even with 19 lead changes. So even that both teams had the exact same 3-point percentage going into halftime. The scoring was mostly evenly distributed between teams with 1 clear leader. For Santa Clara, it was Mahi leading the way and it was Oweh for Kentucky. That closeness continued in the 2nd half, this time with both teams taking turns taking the lead until Kentucky’s turn last a little too long for Santa Clara’s liking. Garrison got a poster to put an exclamation mark on it. It wouldn’t be right if it was that simple. In the final minutes, Kentucky was held to a single point and Clara made the comeback and Graves hit the 3 to win it. Which is what I would’ve said if Oweh hadn’t gone sicko mode and hit his own 3 to tie it up and send this game or overtime. After some back-and-forth in OT, Kentucky pulled away thanks to Oweh’s scoring and Garrison’s crazy blocks on 3s. Incredible game”
