“Classic slugfest. Although I wish it had been closer in the scoreboard, there was clearly no love in this matchup, lots of pushing and shoving between physical plays up and down the floor. Unfortunately it was only for pride as the Huskies easily cruised to victory over the Hoyas. The Hoyas never led and only managed a single block in this game. Georgetown, basketball and overall legend Dikembe Mutombo is looking down with a small frown and a slow shake of his head. Ironically, if you just looked at the box score, most of it looks very similar to each other, until you reach Braylon Mullins. Not an amazing game by any means, but his 21 points were vital in helping the Huskies enjoy the ride. While Mutombo is disappointed in Georgetown, I’m sure he enjoyed watching Tarris Reed who accumulated 3 blocks on his own while contributing in pretty much every way. Like I said, just a very physical game. If this game had been closer, I could see this being an intense slobber-knocker. ”
