@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Islanders vs Maple Leafs

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Islanders vs Maple Leafs game 6.3 out of 10 in NHL on March 17, 2026. Final score: Islanders 3 – Maple Leafs 1. Reg. Season. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

The Islanders pay Tavares a visit in his not-so-new home. Fun fact: Tavares has still played more games with the Islanders than he has with the Leafs. Never forget the Islanders have more playoff wins since Tavares left the Islanders and signed with the Leafs in 2018. That aside, this game was pretty good. Not amazing, but not bad by any means. Brayden Schenn paid tribute to his brother Luke by scoring on the Leafs to get the party started. Calum Ritchie doubled Long Island’s lead and gave them a 2-0 lead after the 1st. The Leafs managed to cut into their deficit thanks to a shot from Lorentz. That spark of hope didn’t last too long as trade-legend Emil Heineman blasted a one-timer thanks to a Tony DeAngelo pass to restore the 2-goal lead. After that, the Leafs did put up a good effort, only for Sorokin and team defense to shut the door on any potential comeback. It’s okay Toronto, it happens to a lot of teams. Still, this is shockingly one of the least painful losses of their season.
