“The part of this fanbase that has parasocial relationships with the players needs to have someone to blame for why the team is doing so poorly, and John Schneider is more than happy to make sure that that’s Eric Lauer instead of the terrible offense. Pay no attention to the three active batters hitting well under the Mendoza Line (including one with .143 that kept his spot over someone with a .423). Please ignore the fact that Brandon Valenzuela has as many home runs as Vladimir Guerrero Jr and George Springer combined with a quarter of the plate appearances. Nevermind that team OPS is down 10% from last year. 18 of our 22 losses this season we had 3 or fewer runs. Considering John Schneider’s record so far, maybe DeMarlo Hale should manage the first couple of innings of these game going forward.”
