@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Penguins vs Capitals

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Penguins vs Capitals game 7.6 out of 10 in NHL on April 12, 2026. Final score: Penguins 0 – Capitals 3. Reg. Season. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

The Capitals grind out a huge win in a highly anticipated matchup. Crosby vs. Ovechkin, game #100. Started off with an awesome moment when Crosby and Ovechkin took the game’s opening faceoff. Once that great moment passed, we had a game to play. It was a close game, but I’d say the Capitals had a slight edge all the way through. As a matter of fact, the Caps nearly took a 1-0 lead going into the 1st intermission only for it to be called back for offside. The Penguins had a good amount of chances and Logan Thompson just locked it down. You could sense the desperation throughout the Caps roster to make sure the last game in Ovi’s career in the stadium he has called home for 20 years wasn’t a loss. PLD jammed it under Skinner’s pads and into the net. Then Connor McMichael scored on a counter and the Penguins never got another chance. Really tense game, but the 3rd was a big slog and really slow down the stretch. Still good, but the stakes really elevate it from a low-6 to a mid-7.
