Good game between two up-and-coming squads, except the Red Wings are far ahead of the Sharks. I will die on the hill that Calgary were the vibe masters last season, this year, it is the Sharks. Unfortunately; as I learned last season, vibes can only cover up for so much. The Sharks used their electric forward talent and elite vibes to keep up with Detroit, but there were cracks. Kasper absolutely walked Klingberg to set up Compher for the tying goal. It easily could’ve been a Red Wings game if Kane doesn’t miss out on a tip into a wide open net. Credit to San Jose tho, they kept fighting. The Red Wings only took the lead by inches when Askarov nearly made an incredible save. Speaking of that goal, Lucas Raymond did a tremendous job setting up his teammates, including that Larkin goal to win it. Even after that, the Sharks used the power of friendship to attack Gibson to no avail. Kasper was also great, a crucial bounce back game as he scored his first goal since October 30th 2024.
