“Going against my code so I can get the March Madness achievement. The Longhorns came into this game seemingly on a downward spiral. NC State should have had them ripe for the picking. Instead, Texas found a way to escape. Points did not come easily in this one. Far from it. As if the shooting percentages couldn’t have told you that already. Neither team shot above 40% and that was by design. Texas actually started out strong and NC State had to go on a hot run to keep the first half close. The 2nd half remained tightly contested, but the Wolfpack had to make another run to make it close again. After they tied it up with a free throw, Tranon Mark put himself in Texas lore with a fadeaway game winner. Mark’s game winner was just a part of a great game. Darrion Williams and Quadir Copeland had good games, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Texas’s defense. ”
